Traffic Density and Air Quality

I realize this isn't rocket science, but I couldn't help but notice the relationship between traffic density and air pollution in the New York City Community Air Survey released yesterday by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. This effect is particularly noticeable along the major highways in the outer boroughs. Just another reason policies that encourage car ownership in New York City are detrimental to public health.
